Lest We Forget

They come into our lives, these magnificent animals

What do they ask for - what do we give

They work for us, play with us, entertain us

They're willing, they're loyal, they're kind and dependent

They give us unconditional love, simple and true- they are best friends

They come into our world innocent, naive and unknowing - yet fearless and kind - looking for only purpose and direction

They expect nothing in return

What do they deserve - Our very best

Sustenance - shelter - protection - consideration - instruction - effort - concern - willingness - loyalty and that big, undeniable four letter word: Love

When it's time to leave us, may they dance with the wind - race on the clouse - feel the boundless joy and peace they give us as they join those who came before.

May they have God's Blessing and our rememberance and love of a JOB well done

Let's treat those still with us, with this same reverence, respect and unconditonal love. So many can dance and sing, and rejoice, while they are here with us in the here and now.

Don't let them down!

So long Brad - you were among the Best of the Best

Go with God's speed and in peace
